Suggested Family Activities • More StoryWalks®

Published by Library Staff on

StoryWalks® have resumed in many of our local communities.  What is a StoryWalk®, you ask?  A StoryWalk® is an outdoor reading experience where a children’s book 📖 is presented via plastic signs at various points along a walking trail.  Participants walk the trial, stopping at each sign to read the pages of the story.  Northeast Regional Library is proud to partner with our local communities to present Story Walks at walking trails this month in Blue Mountain, Booneville, Corinth, Farmington, Iuka, and Ripley.  (For a listing of all locations with addresses and other information, check out the Story Walk information on our at website www.nereg.lib.ms.us.)

In celebration of all things turkey related this month, we have a Story Walk ® of Gobble, Gobble, Crash, a barnyard counting story by Julie Stegemeyer, with illustrations by Valeri Gorbachev.  Can you guess what trouble ensues when turkeys get loose from their pens in the middle of the night?  Go visit the Story Walk ® and find out!  This title will be available at the walking trail in Plumrose Park in Booneville from November 1 – November 16 and at the William M. Sanders walking trail in Blue Mountain from November 18 through the end of the month.
