Punkin’ Chunkin’ in Tishomingo County

I have Thanksgiving 🦃 with my sister Tish Hinkle every year, and part of the annual tradition is “Punkin’ Chunkin’.”  Tish enthusiastically decorates her home with real 🎃 pumpkins for fall, discarding them immediately after the 🍗 Thanksgiving meal. Their grandson Grayson became a part of this as soon as he could walk—he’s 9 years old now. His Maw Maw and Paw turned it into a fun adventure for him, so now every year we gather up the pumpkins and load them into the 🚜 Gator, then we all ride out to a certain 🌳 tree on the property. We all pick up 🎃 pumpkins and throw them as hard as we can toward the tree trunk, trying to make them break open. Some of them are really tough!

So, all that to explain these two photos. The first one shows Maggie, their beloved lab, then a picture of us actually “chunkin’.”  That’s me in the gray hoodie.
