May Librarian Spotlight
Meet Rienzi Librarian Erin Taylor
There’s a new face at the Rienzi Library and it’s one that you may recognize – Erin Taylor, an evening shift circulation clerk at the Corinth library, has recently added Rienzi Librarian to her job duties.
Erin has already had a positive impact on the Rienzi Library. In her first two months on the job, she has increased circulation numbers higher than they have been in the last five years. And she has exciting things planned for the library’s Summer Reading Program activities, which will be held each Wednesday from June 13 – June 27.
An avid reader, Erin especially enjoys books in a series. “I’ve always loved stories of all kinds,” she says. “I never want them to end.” Erin also loves helping her patrons find materials to read, watch and listen to, and is experienced in searching both the NERL database and the state Inter-Library Loan network to locate items her patrons would like. Her other favorite part of her job is telling people about the digital materials that are available to be checked out online through NERL’s connection with RB Digital.
Erin is no stranger to doing research, whether it is educational research or Do It Yourself tips she learned while being a homemaker and homeschooling her children. She has been married for 22 years and has a son and a daughter, both students at NEMCC.
In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and being active in her church. She also enjoys cooking, shopping and container gardening. In fact, for many years she worked in the Garden Center at Lowes as a plant merchandiser.
Erin invites everyone in Rienzi to stop by the library, located at 5 School Street. “I’m excited about getting to know the patrons in the Rienzi area,” she says. The Rienzi Library can also be reached at 662-462-5015 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
