August Early Literacy Giveaway!

Northeast Regional Library branches are giving away wide ruled paper sheets this month to help young children learn writing skills. If your child is just learning to hold a crayon or pencil, try lightly drawing straight and curving lines for them to trace over with their crayon. As they master that skill, they can move on to practicing drawing shapes such as circles, squares, and triangles. And finally, they can start writing numbers and the letters of the alphabet. For more fun Suggested Family Activities, click here and don’t forget to send photos of your child practicing to photos@nereg.lib.ms.us.
