It’s that time of year again, for our exciting Summer Reading Program here at Ann Spencer Cox Library, entitled this year, “ADVENTURE BEGINS AT YOUR LIBRARY!!”

The reading program is open to all children, ages preschool to pre-teen. We have some great programs planned for everyone to enjoy. Our events will be every Wednesday during the month of June 2024; from 11:00 A.M. TO 2:00P.M. Our first program will begin June 5th, @ 11:00 A.M. And it will be, ADVENTURE BEGINS AROUND OUR COMMUNITY!, where we will all participate in teams visiting different businesses in the community and completing a small task; on June 12th, our next program will be, ADVENTURE BEGINS AT THE STORY WALK IN THE CITY PARK!, where we will form teams and go on a scavenger hunt at our Story Walk at the City Park!!; and on June 19th, our program will be, ADVENTURE BEGINS AROUND THE WORLD!, where we will have different stations with food from different cultures around the world. Finally, on June 26th, we will celebrate all the children that participated in the program with Awards For Your Adventures.

We will also be keeping reading records for the children to keep track of all the books they enjoyed reading throughout the program; and again, the children will be rewarded for participating, on Awards Day, June 26th.
